Counter Hack was created on July 10th, 2001, by Justin Carmony (Paladin-X). Counter Hack was created because Paladin-X, and other players, were frustrated with cheaters on servers and people accusing other people of cheating without proof. With the goal of providing accurate and useful information to gamers, Counter Hack has grown into the information powerhouse it is today.

Originally being focused towards the First-Person-Shooter Counter-Strike, Counter Hack has evolved to envelope all on-line games, since First Person Shooters are far from the only genre of games that are plagued with illegal hacks. Covering all major games styles (First Person Shooters, Real Time Strategies, and Role-playing games), Counter Hack is the most comprehensive gaming site dedicated towards anti-cheating for on-line games.

Counter Hack is also the central communication for all anti-cheating efforts. Forums dedicated towards anti-cheating, and IRC channels dedicated towards answering questions, and mailing lists to keep everyone informed with the latest information, Counter Hack is where all the action is at.
