D3v07i0n|CH interviewed [JAPS] as a follow-up to the old record we have with them. They where generous enough to include a picture of [JAPS[General-Jap himself∞. The interview raises important issues with VAC not being tough enough and the flaws in human judgement.

[JAPS]BookRev: not really but let's do this interview :D
D3v07i0n|CH: anyways, Hi I'm from the CH network, (counter-hack.net), I'm sure you heard of us.
D3v07i0n|CH: We know what JAPS do, can you introduce yourself thou?
[JAPS]BookRev: I'm known as BookRev, im the other founder of japs along with general jap
[JAPS]BookRev: I dont play cs much anymore but i still enjoy cheating
D3v07i0n|CH: Well first of all I wanted to tell you guys that your cheat is one of the few left that goes undetected and that somehow you guys manage to do an update within hours of VAC. Can u comment on that?
[JAPS]BookRev: Joolz our coder is on the ball 24/7 he codes fast and VAC seem to be really incompetant at this time
D3v07i0n|CH: What is your opinion on CD (Cheating-Death) at its current stage?
[JAPS]BookRev: CD is the only threat to mainstream cheating because its superior to VAC. Still many of our coders can beat CD but VAC is more widely used
D3v07i0n|CH: Can you guys point out the flaws that you think made it possible for guys like you to do what you do.
[JAPS]BookRev: Incompetant VAC coders made it all posible..
[JAPS]BookRev: And their VAC beta testers
D3v07i0n|CH: all right. Are you guys involved with any other FPS besides HL?
[JAPS]BookRev: i play sof2 non cheating and single player games. JAPS clan members play many games
D3v07i0n|CH: hmm Can you comment on tribes2 which apparently has almost no hacks whatsoever even thou its pretty popular?
[JAPS]BookRev: Boring game imo.. i like more urban combat fps
[JAPS]BookRev: And CS is the prominent FPS>
[JAPS]General-Jap: id like to add something that whatever FPD becomes the most popular will be targeted by groups like us

D3v07i0n|CH: lol kk. Last time we had a conversation with you guys General said that to his opinion hacking will go underground. But lately for you guys its been the opposite. What caused this?
[JAPS]General-Jap: vacs incompetancy
[JAPS]General-Jap: i presumed they would do a better job
[JAPS]BookRev: VAC is a failure
[JAPS]BookRev: All cheaters think so
D3v07i0n|CH: lol. well lately they had numerous updates, but according to you they were all not meaningful?
[JAPS]BookRev: no
[JAPS]General-Jap: if you want the honest truth

[JAPS]General-Jap: eg. anti wh is now not in vac modules
D3v07i0n|CH: IC. Well you guys know better since they dont post it publicly what is actually in these updates.
D3v07i0n|CH: Are you currently associated with any other clans? PWN for example?
[JAPS]BookRev: We Host their irc chan one of their leaders has an oline
[JAPS]BookRev: We welcome any clan cheat or noncheat to be on our network.
D3v07i0n|CH: Are your current feelings towards myg0t same as they were before and are you associated with their current numerous downtimes?
[JAPS]BookRev: as far as i know some myg0t was to poor to pay for hosting anymore
D3v07i0n|CH: lol. Is JAPS currently part of any leagues? cheating/non-cheating?
[JAPS]BookRev: yes we play in an unofficial cheating league
[JAPS]BookRev: JAPS is the best
[JAPS]BookRev: the others cant compete..
D3v07i0n|CH: kk. What lead to current decision to make your latest hack open source?
D3v07i0n|CH: This could be easily used against you.
[JAPS]BookRev: That was Joolz decision, VAC wont do anything with it
[JAPS]BookRev: VAC is totally Incompetant

D3v07i0n|CH: I hope you are wrong and VAC will turn around. but time will show. But right now I have no reason to defend VAC. Time will show.
[JAPS]BookRev: Non-cheating players are disappointed with VAC
D3v07i0n|CH: If its not secret how many hits do you guys get daily? Just wanted to see the average number of people interesting in hacking
[JAPS]BookRev: we get 1000+ a day
[JAPS]BookRev: We have had to recover from 3 months down due to denial of service attacks
D3v07i0n|CH: can you reveal their source?
[JAPS]BookRev: Europe, Australia, Canada and USA
D3v07i0n|CH: I meant specific groups/clans?
[JAPS]BookRev: i cant tell u where i think the ddos attacks came from no
D3v07i0n|CH:: Are there any upcoming projects/ideas that you can reveal?
[JAPS]BookRev: Joolz is alpha testing his Meta-Cheat, which will bring more coders into cs cheating.

[JAPS]General-Jap: the reason we started cheating was to show ppl hiding the cheat

[JAPS]General-Jap: the only way id play non cheat cs is in CD

D3v07i0n|CH: btw CD 2.9.x.x beta detects your latest Joolz =)

[JAPS]General-Jap: CD will be left alone as far as public cheats go

[JAPS]General-Jap: we have CD cheats they are only for the elite though

[JAPS]General-Jap: my mission is to destroy cheaters hiding cheats
[JAPS]General-Jap: that is lame beyond belief
[JAPS]General-Jap: cheating and hiding it
D3v07i0n|CH: To my knowledge cheats are mostly used by noobies who dont know how to play cs
[JAPS]General-Jap: no
[JAPS]General-Jap: many so called "elite" non cheaters in fact cheat
D3v07i0n|CH: Any specifc names/? ^^^
[JAPS]General-Jap: I can hide the cheat to the extent no one knows I am cheating
[JAPS]General-Jap: the only way u can tell a player is not cheating is to watch his screen
D3v07i0n|CH: we have experts at Ch, including me that can see anything
D3v07i0n|CH: but im not goin to argue that
[JAPS]General-Jap: all the ppl that use awps and kill with 1 shot all the time cheat
[JAPS]BookRev: most server admins are incompetant
[JAPS]General-Jap: i suspect all players who use awp of using some type of aimbot

[JAPS]BookRev: i see people cheating and not being banned because they dont shoot through wall
[JAPS]General-Jap: yes
D3v07i0n|CH: the human factor is the biggest problem actually
D3v07i0n|CH: there is too many uneducated admins like you said
D3v07i0n|CH: thats why CH exists
D3v07i0n|CH: we currently have few projects but we basically are there to educate the public
[JAPS]BookRev: even CH cant teach the incompetant admins.. unless your project works
D3v07i0n|CH: the more knowledge they have the more chance that they'll know what to do/ how to deal with cheaters,etc..
D3v07i0n|CH: Even thou JAPS is cheating clan I have respect for you since you consider cheating more of a sport rather than pissing people off on purpose; you also seemed to code all your stuff yourself which I know is a lot of hard work (this is my personal opinion and doesn't reflect opinion of CH!)
